Opinions of Looking for Alaska

I did not like this book. This is not what I expected to be. I was hoping to find a book in the style of Stargirl (or something new) and what did I find? A group of teenagers who try to alleviate their anxieties in their not so original vices and a sudden drama that leads to talk nonsense. All hidden, of course, in a couple of beautiful quotes that wrap all the 'inspiring sites' on the Internet, the reason I came to the book and I bet you do too. Of course, it was so boring. I did not like the characters. I did not like this book. This is not what I expected to be. I was hoping to find a book in the style of Stargirl (or something new) and what did I find? All hidden, of course, in a couple of beautiful quotes that wrap all the 'inspiring sites' on the Internet, the reason I came to the book and I bet you do too. Of course, it was so boring. I did not like the characters. Alaska was unbearable (oh no, wait, she was amazing if you were also a character: fantastic girl, beautiful and wonderful and ohmarrymerightightnowplease, and she had to be an intelligent woman, then the author made her a feminist and avid reader, to prove that she had brain), and there's no need to write about guys because ... boo. The main character was a chronic linnet, who got lost in his difficulties (especially, not having a girlfriend, a problem as big as the one you see) and looking for the best. Maybe, he forgot to do it so easily ... What a waste time! EDIT 2013: It's been almost FOUR years since I read and reviewed Looking for Alaska and I hope no one expects you to discuss anything related to the book. It's great if you love the book but I do not. Maybe at this moment in my life I expressed myself in another way, but when I wrote this, I was convinced of everything I said before. After searching Alaska, I read other books by John Green. And I loved some of them, as he really did. It's sad that searching for Alaska did not work for me, but I think it's wonderful that it was for you. There are not many books that can inspire that kind of passion: _) Thank you all for your tastes and comments and my apologies for not having answered them again. ...Plus
